Welcome to Franklin - Edison Primary
Our mission at Franklin-Edison Primary School is to meet the diverse needs of every STAR student. Ours is a safe, productive atmosphere where students can learn to make good choices that result in positive character development reflecting the eight core values: Wisdom, Justice, Courage, Compassion, Hope, Respect, Responsibility, and Integrity. We are proud of our many areas of academic success. Our school has twice received a Spotlight School Award from the Illinois State Board of Education in recognition of our accomplishments as measured by the ISAT Test.

Summer is Here
Franklin Edison is now on Summer Break. First day of school for the 2008-2009 school year is Tuesday, August 26th. Office hours for the weeks of June 2nd -13th are 7:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
Kindergarten registration continues. Please stop during office hours to register your child.
Your child must be five years old on or before September 1, 2008. A certified copy of his/her birth certificate is required at the time of registration. Your child will also need a physical examination, a record of immunizations, a dental exam and a vision exam. If you have any questions, please contact the school office at 682-2693.

Fine Arts Night
Fine Arts Night “Cinco de Mayo” Celebration
Thursday, April 24th
5:30 pm – 6:45 pm
Join in during the festivities.
Learn to dance the LaRaspa.
Make a serape (poncho).
Create a maraca (percussion shaker instrument).
Cook your own tortilla, and eat walking tacos while drinking a glass of Sangria punch.

Kick-Off to Kindergarten!
Moms & Dads! No fooling- April 1st means it's time to start registering for kindergarten!
Stop by anytime after April 1st to register or attend an orientation & registration event on Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Franklin-Edison Primary School.
